"What are you looking forward to this school year?"

I am looking forward to involving the children more in what they learn, to putting less pressure on me as a mother and teacher, and enjoying every moment God gives me with my kids.

I am looking forward to

I am looking forward to helping my daughter really enjoy learning.. and me along with her!
I am hoping to enjoy teaching, and focus less on my "to do list"... ;) Making school fun!

What are you looking forward to this school year?

Doing studies that are going on currently or in the next year; example: studying Civics/Government along with the Election. Reading "For You They Signed" book about the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and learning more about the creation of Animals that God has created.

What are you looking forward to this school year?

This is a year of change for us, with our oldest starting PSEO at the local college. Today she has her first ever classroom setting outside of homeschooling and it is college level! Our son, 10, will begin 5th grade next week. We LOVE our curriculum choices and are excited for the journey of learning about academic subjects, but also the walking out of our faith in real life situations. God is so good to give us freedom to learn at home and a bubble of life to learn within. We are exactly where He wants us to be and that brings incredible joy and peace!!!

New School Year!

I am looking forward to co-op starting up again. Our family misses all of our homeschool friends!

This year

My daughter is a 7th grader this year and I am looking forward to learning alongside her at a higher level than in the younger years. I am increasingly aware of how fast our homeschool years are going by and I savor the time we have together.

I am looking forward to...

just hanging out with my kids and discipling them. Also looking forward to a co-op that has creation science. Since I wasn't homeschooled, I had no idea till recently that creation science was a real thing! Very excited to be learning about it from kindergarten up!

The fun and friendships we'll

The fun and friendships we'll have in our co-op classes.

I'm looking forward to welcoming a new little baby to our family in a month, continuing to watch my children grow in their faith and learn new things. Being a planner, I am also VERY excited for the MACHE conference in April! :)

What are you looking forward to this school year?

Spending precious time with my son. Teaching, training, watching, learning. Giggling, smiling, playing, loving.

I'm looking forward to...

spending more time at home, teaching my girls to be content without doing every activity under the sun!

I am looking forward to not running around and just "home"schooling. I'm also excited to see how my son does with his first online class.

I am looking forward to teaching my kids how to really enjoy learning and taking the little extra moments out of the day to learn things we may not have planned out studying that day.

I am looking forward to

watching my daughter's eyes light up when she gets excited about something we're studying!

Looking forward to...

Getting to know our new state. We just moved to Minnesota this summer, so this is a great new adventure. Even when we are doing our daily work, it is different than our former home state. The kids are so excited to get to know Minnesota better.

I am looking forward....

I am looking forward to quality time snuggled with my children reading and learning together.

Looking forward...

To seeing that 'I got it' look on my kids' face. And when memory verses make sense and they correct me by them; both a humbling and joyful moment.
As others have said, having our oldest read to me more and more.
I think I also like the calmer routine of a fixed schedule and more reading time at night when it gets dark sooner.

New for us, two in school vs one plus a baby on in about a month. Looking forward to God's grace!!

Looking Forward...

I'm excited about finding new ways to include the younger kids in our school day --- nothing beats multi-age learning times when all the kids are included and excited about what we are doing.

Hey, me too!

In response to 'dolphinraver' I was reading your post and thinking, 'hey, I live in MN too' then I remembered I'm reading posts on MACHE's site. HA!

Edit to add: I'm not trying to get more posts. I hit reply but it made a seperate post. Anyway, enjoying everyone's post and I too look forward to getting mulit-aged kids to learn together! (I really am and I'm also laughing at the mess some of those times can get)

what I am looking forward to this year

This is our first year homeschooling. I cannot wait to watch out little one grow spiritually and educationally and know we are the ones influencing her and she will be guided in the proper way.

This year, I am looking forward to...

Beginning the day in prayer with my children and training and teaching them each and every day with Bible-based curriculum! I also look forward to praising the Lord that my children are home with me (where I believe He intends them to be!) when I see my non-homeschooling friends cry as they send their kids to school, as well as when I see that big ol' bus carry the neighborhood children off to the schools 5 days a week...

What I am looking forward to this upcoming school year....

I am looking forward to the challenge it will be teaching ang learning along with our 5 school age children. At different levels I know somedays will be a struggle but I know God will help and guide us through it. It will be rewarding watching our children advance in their learning and be excited to see what's new. Seeing the achievements they conquer will make it all worth it :-)
