MÂCHÉ has negotiated reduced rates with our Rochester Host Hotels. To receive the reduced rates, you must identify that you are attending the “Minnesota Association of Christian Home Educators” conference. Ask for a confirmation number. Please be aware that there are varying “guaranteed rate” deadlines. All the hotels are connected to the Skyway/Tunnel system except the Best Western Soldiers Field, but it has free surface parking and shuttle service. If you are staying at this hotel, you should make shuttle arrangements with your hotel for travel to and from the Mayo Civic Center. MÂCHÉ does not make the arrangements for you. With the other hotels, you should ask at check-in about any special instructions for parking.

When you call to make a reservation at any of the Rochester hotels and the desk attendant is not able to answer the phone right away, your call will be transferred to the national office of that particular hotel chain. The national offices do not know about the special arrangements that the Rochester hotels have made with MÂCHÉ. To get the special rates at these hotels, try calling again until you can talk to someone in the Rochester area hotels. A few of the hotels listed below offer a direct link to their online reservations where you can obtain MÂCHÉ’s special rates.

If you are flying to the MÂCHÉ conference and are coming through the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP), there is a van shuttle service named “Go Rochester Direct” which has a kiosk at MSP. (Follow the in-airport signs to “Ground Transportation.”) They will drive you from the airport in St. Paul to your hotel in Rochester for a much smaller cost (and most likely in less time) than if you get an additional airline flight to Rochester or rent a car to drive yourself. Contact them at www.gorochesterdirect.com to let them know when your flight will arrive and they will plan to have a van ready to take you to Rochester. Be sure to enter the word “MACHE” in the Group/Corporate/Frequent Rider ID space. The cost is $50 for a round trip.
