STATE SPEECH QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT
March 28 and 29, 2008
Registration is a 4 step process.
STEP 1. Read this form so that you are aware of the terms and conditions
STEP 2. Fill out the form on the next page and submit your entry
STEP 3. Receive your confirmation that you are registered by email. Note: you are not registered until you receive this notification.
STEP 4. Send a paper Registration Form with payment by mail to:

Tournament Registration opens 3:00 PM 03/04/08 for Minnesota Residents
Tournament Registration opens 12:00 PM 03/07/08 for Region 5
Registration closes 03/14/08
Tournament Registration process
Step 2 Pre-register to reserve your place. To pre-register go to step 2 on the next page. We must then receive paper registration and payment within one week of the pre-registration (but prior to March 10, 2007) to complete your registration. Space is limited and a waiting list will be available.
Step 3 Confirmation of pre-registration. You will receive your pre-registration confirmation by email. Please watch for this confirmation. You are not pre-registered until you receive an email confirming receipt of your registration.
Step 4Final RegistrationEach speaker must fill out and sign one entire Registration Form. You must also list the contact information for your on the registration form. A registration form may be acquired here: Send this paper registration with payment by mail to:
Tournament Fees: $35.00 per individual (1-2 events) + $10 for each additional event. Make checks payable to: Minnesota Speech and Debate (Include payment with Registration Form) Do NOT send cash.
Cancellation Policy: Registrations are refundable up to March 15, 2008. Following that date, refunds will be made if there is a speaker on the waiting list to fill your spot.

Conduct
Dress Code: We expect modest dress throughout the tournament: Ladies - Modesty is the key and may include suits, dresses, and skirts to the bottom of the knee; tops or jackets. Tight-fitting/low-cut sweaters or slacks are inappropriate. Midriff must remain covered when gesturing in speeches. Gentlemen - Gentlemen shall wear suits; slacks with a sweater or vest; or shirt and tie. Suit coats are optional.
