LUCIUS BUNYAN COMPTON was born in the mountains of N. Carolina. Although his parents were Christians, his environment caused him to become a derelict. He was converted in 1895 and became an evangelist in Kentucky and Ohio. Later in his life he founded a children's home. He was especially noted for his tent meetings.
