WILLIAM GRENFELL (1865 - 1940) Dr. (Sir) Wilfred Thomas Grenfell was born in Chesire, Parkgate, England. Because of his father's prompting, he decided to become a medical doctor at age 18. Soon after, he was converted as a result of D. L. Moody's preaching. He joined the Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen which worked with men off the coast of England. This mission eventually sent him to Labrador, which at that time was a part of th his own medicine.
