The Basic Areas of Thought
The Basic Areas of Thought
- SCHAEFFER-084.mp3_sample.mp3
Metaphysics the problem of being. Why do these things exist? Sartre said that the basic problem for man is that things exist. Why existence? Why do things that exist have form? To modern man there is no rational answer to anything because everything is absurd and random. The problem with these 'no answers' is the proponents are never very consistent. When challenged they make irrational leaps they cannot explain. The universe has an order or form and this fact destroys the view that everything is random. The universe is orderly regardless of modern man's contrary views. There are real answers. There are rational and reasonable answers for the order of the universe and the existence of man. You must begin with either the impersonal or the personal beginning. The impersonal beginning is the view of modern man and gives no valid answers. True Christians see the personal beginning in the personal and infinite God.
