Romanticism

Romanticism is optimism without a sufficient answer or reason for doing something. Biblical Christianity is not romantic, it is realistic. The world is full of evil and full of mistakes. Nihilists are the opposite of romanticists. Today there are more displaced persons in the world than in all of past history. Why? Because of rootlessness. We have no evidence of man being less cruel or evil now even with all history to draw on. Man's only hope is in Biblical Christianity and the return of Jesus Christ. This is opposite to romantic, optimistic humanism, which is dead. Even New Romanticism of the younger generation and led by drugs, and eastern mysticism and transcendental meditation offers no real hope.
