The Crow River Home Educators group is for homeschool families in McLeod county and the surrounding areas. The goal of the group is to provide opportunities for sharing activities, events and ideas with others who homeschool and those who are interested in starting. This group is for families who have wide varieties of educational philosophies and various motivations for choosing to homeschool.
We have a website that we use to keep our members up to date on events we have scheduled. We send out weekly emails alerting our homeschoolers of what is coming up. Our website also has a members directory, a classifieds section and a business directory.
We meet every Thursday for the students to interact with one another and the parents to get encouragement from other homeschoolers. We also provide various programs and classes throughout the year depending on interest and availability. We annually volunteer as a group with Operation Christmas Child and Feed My Starving Children.
